Autumn
November 2007
Well, I am new to this
whole blogosphere world. It was suggested that I do
this by a friend of ours-that there may be some
people interested in what I may write. Assuming that
may well be true I am venturing forth. I intend to do
monthly entries with some musings, health
information, quotes and what ever else may seem
relevant that month. I am also open to input if there
is anything that anyone would like me to speak about.
It is certainly feeling like autumn has arrived, albeit a little earlier than usual. The leaves are turning and the wind is blowing. We turned the heat on for the first time since, when? March? I've noticed our cats are not wanting to be outside as often either. Especially Lou, the colder weather bothers his arthritis. In a few months they'll be sleeping by the heaters every day.
As the weather changes it is important for us all to start taking extra good care of ourselves. Some preventative self care now could offset troubles in winter. Things like not becoming overly tired, staying warm, and of course eating healthy foods. Also, not being out in the wind for very long if you are feeling run down at all is important. And, I have to say it - wash your hands frequently when out and about.
I hope you all get to enjoy some beautiful autumn walks! Tryon Creek State Park is amazing this time of year!
Quote of the Month:
"To transform the world, we must begin with ourselves; and what is important in beginning with ourselves is the intention. The intention must be to understand ourselves and not to leave it to others to transform themselves or to bring about a modified change through revolution, either of the left or of the right. It is important to understand that this is our responsibility, yours and mine..." Krishnamurti
